Slang

Tonight, I was talking on the phone and making Mikie's bed up with clean sheets. Mikie (always needing to talk to me when I am having a conversation with others) came over and started talking:

Mikie: whining "Mommy, I want. . . I want. . . I want. . . I want. . . "

Mom: "Mikie, spit it out!"

Mikie: confused "But there's nothing in my mouth."

Eventually, I stopped laughing, and he told me what he wanted to say (that he didn't want to go to bed).

Good thing I didn't say "put a sock in it."

Love, The Trahans
